Notice of Performance for Texline ISD
About accountability ratings. Texas annually rates its public schools and districts on the academic performance of their students. Texline ISD ratings may be located on the Texas Education Agency website (here) or found below.
Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS). The AEIS is a comprehensive reporting system defined in state statute. Local districts share responsibility for disseminating the AEIS reports. The Accountability Ratings show how well schools and districts are performing across all grades and all subjects against the state standards. To calculate the Accountability Ratings, the state looks at performance on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test and the State-Developed Alternative Assessment II (SDAA II) for special education students. Other factors weigh into the ratings, including student subgroup performance on tests, dropout rates for middle schools and school completion rates for high schools.
School Report Card (SRC). Also required by state statute, this is a condensed version of the information found on the AEIS report.
Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). AYP is a federal accountability program mandated under the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act.
Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS). Section 1111(h)(2) of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requires that each LEA that receives Title I, Part A funding to disseminate specific LEA (district) and campus level data to 1) all LEA campuses, 2) parents of all enrolled students, and 3) to make the information widely available through public means such as posting on the internet, distribution to the media, or distribution through public agencies.
